Woodmont High School Band Boosters Financial Agreement
Disney Trip 2011-12
The Woodmont High School Marching Band will be traveling (pending final district approval) to Florida on March 29 – April 4, 2012. As this exciting opportunity continues to unfold in planning and implementation, the following information is available now, including:
Mandatory Payments Schedule
Eligibility Requirements
General Itinerary
This Financial Agreement must be signed and turned in to the Band Office by 4:30 pm, September 30, 2011. Greenville County Schools does not pay for our trips, so students must pay their own way to Disney. The trip cost is $600 (based on 55 participants price may go up if fewer people attend) to the tour company and then students will need to bring money for a few meals on their own and any other gifts/needs. The Band Boosters have set up fundraisers to help students raise the money required for the trip. The following dates are deadlines that each student must meet to go on the trip and no late payments will be allowed, as the Booster Club must make payment to the tour company immediately following. Please be sure to turn in chocolate money each week so the Boosters can keep student balances up to date. All money/checks and cash payments must be made to the Woodmont High School Band Boosters. Fundraising totals will only be credited to the trip after the band camp fee ($175 or $225) has been paid (either through fundraising or payment).
Any student who does not meet one of the payment deadlines will be ineligible to attend the trip. In the event that a student becomes ineligible to attend the trip, no fundraising money will be refunded. Cash payments towards the trip may be refunded, but only if the optional insurance was purchased (28.00 – $38.00 additional per person).
Payments are due as follows:
$50.00 per person non-refundable deposit is due 10/1/2011
$125.00 per person payment is due 11/4/2011 (insurance form & permission to travel form due)
$125.00 per person payment is due 12/2/2011
$125.00 per person payment is due 1/13/2011
Balance (~175.00 per person) is due 2/10/2011
Eligibility
Academic eligibility (no F’s) for Florida will be checked on the 2nd 9 weeks report card. Any student who is ineligible at the 2nd 9 weeks will not be able to attend the trip. If a student becomes ineligible at this time, refunds from cash payments will be allowed following the Tour Company’s Contract.
Students can also become ineligible to attend the trip based on the following reasons:
- Students should have no unexcused absences from Rehearsals or Performances
- A student’s behavior must not be in question from discipline referrals, ISS, or other Woodmont High School Code of Conduct Violations
