Please see reminder information below for 2013 parades. All Band students should have brought home a letter form Mrs. Cotter regarding Parade information. Below is the information she sent out:
Christmas Parade Schedule 2013
December 1-Fork Shoals
1:30pm-We will meet at the high school for uniforms and instruments
2:30pm-Everyone will meet at Fork Shoals Elementary School- No Bus Will Be Provided
3:00pm-Parade begins and we should be finished about 3:30pm
3:45pm-Return uniforms & equipment back to the school and go home!
December 7, 2013-Greenville Parade
2:00pm-3:30pm-End of Marching Season Celebration
3:30pm-4:00pm-Dress & prepare to leave for the Greenville Parade
4:00pm-Depart for the Greenville Parade
8:30pm-Approximate arrival back to WHS
December 11, 2013-Fountain In n Parade
3:45pm-We will leave as soon as possible after school for Fountain Inn Parade
5:00pm-The parade starts at this time
7:30pm-Approximate arrival time back to Woodmont
December 14, 2013-Piedmont Parade
8:30am-Meet at Woodmont HS to dress and load equipment
9:30am-Depart for the parade
11:00am-The parade starts at this time
1:00pm-Approximate arrival time back to Woodmont HS
Here is what we need from you: Please contact Chris Cothran is you can help load equipment. Because of budget concerns, we will only be taking one bus. We will need to carry the small trailer to every parade except maybe the Fork Shoals parade. Also, if you can help by walking with us in the parade or carrying items for students, etc,. please let Mrs. Pooley know.
Please make sure the middle school students have their music. Everyone should have it by now and should be working on it. Please let me (Mrs. Cotter) know if they do not have their music!
Parades are a wonderful way for the public to see us and know that we are supporting our community. Please make every effort to attend the parades and be prepared. It is important that we look and sound our best.
ROTC members may wear their ROTC uniforms in the parade. Plans are to have you march in the back of the band. That way you can be with the band and ROTC.
We need volunteers to carry the banner. If you have younger children that would like to participate, please call Mrs. Cotter and let her know. We have one person that will be carrying the banner but would like 2 more!
Also, please try to pick up your student in a timely manner. Many times the director has plans after an event and several times I have had to cancel my plans to wait on parents. Thank you!
