Important Weekly Update from Mrs. Cotter

Good Evening WHS Band Parents & Students,

Below are a few quick updates:

-All weekly after school rehearsals will end at 6:30pm unless otherwise notified.

-All students need to make sure that they have water and comfortable clothes for rehearsals. The first after school practice starts tomorrow 8/21/14. It is supposed to be very warm. Please make sure your child is prepared.

-Calendars have been distributed for August and September. Please make sure to ask your child for their copy.

-Community Card money is due Monday, August 25, 2014.

-Our first football game is Friday, August 29th. It is an away game. We have one bus that will be going.

-All band fee money is due. If you have not taken care of your students band fees they are late and arrangements need to be made. Please contact Mrs. Baker or Mrs. Pooley if you need to make arrangements. Remember you can get sponsors to help cover your fees as well as sell community cards.


We are looking forward to a great season!!! Thank you for all you do to support the WHS Band of Pride!!!!



WHS BAND CAMP Dinner Volunteers Needed

Calling All WHS Band Parents,

We need a few good volunteers to help with dinner on Monday night August 4th. WE need the following:

Monday, August 4th
-7 volunteers with crockpots to make crockpot lasagna.

Mrs. Pooley has the recipe. Please contact her if you can assist with this.

WHS Band Car Wash8-9-14

WHS Band Students & Parents please make plans to join us on Saturday, August 9, 2014 for our Car Wash Fundraiser from 10 am-2pm at Ace Hardware Store in Simpsonville.

We need as many volunteers as possible for this event. This is a great way to raise some much needed funds for the band.

Band Camp Help Needed!!!!

Calling All WHS Band Parents, We Need Your Help!!!

We are still short a few food donations for the lock in that is scheduled for 7/31/14. We need the following items:

-Snack Cakes
-Gatorade or Capri Sun’s

If you can help with any of the above items please drop them by the school any time tomorrow.

We are also in need of some fruit donations for next weeks camp. We need the following:

Calling All WHS Band Parents,

We are in need of a few donations for band camp. We need the following items:

-Cases of water
-Cases of Gatorade
-Fruit (apples, bananas, grapes, oranges, peaches)
-Freeze pops

2014 Band Camp Information

WHS Band Students,

Please see important information from Mrs. Cotter:

Band Camp times:

July 28-31 9 am – 9 pm (except Wed. we will end at 5 pm for church)
August 4-7 same as the prior week
July 31 we have a lock-in
August 7 – we have a cook out with parents
August 8 – we have a pool party at the Tedrow’s house

Let the games begin. Be sure to have a water container, sun screen, giant water gun, water balloons, bring a tricycle or a big wheel, and make sure to wear a hat.
