Armed Forces Parade 5.16.15

WHS Band Parents & Students,

Don’t forget the WHS Band will be participating in the Armed Forces Day Parade this Saturday, May 16, 2015. All students need to meet in front of the Peace Center at 2:30pm.

Students will need to wear the following:

All woodwinds, except for tenor saxes and bari saxes will wear red shirts…..

               All Brass, tenor saxes, bari saxes and percussion will wear white shirts.
               All Colorguard will wear royal blue shirts.
***We will determine which school has the largest number of patriotic colored flags and then issue those to guard members on the day of the parade.
              Everyone will where Khaki shorts and white socks and tennis shoes.​

Reminder Band Banquet is 5.12.15

WHS Band Parents,

Don’t forget the Band Banquet will be held on Tuesday, May 12, 2015. The Band Booster Club will provide the meat. We are asking for students in the following sections to bring the following:

Guard-Desserts, Drinks

Woodwinds-Salads, Drinks

Percussion-Bread and Hot side dishes

Brass-Veggie Side Dishes

Come help us celebrate all of the accomplishments of our 2014-2015 school year. We look forward to seeing everyone at WHS at 6:30pm on May 12, 2015 :)

Plans for graduation day June 3—It is a half day of school. We will stay and rehearse, dress leave and go to eat. (Bring money) We will arrive at Furman and set up for graduation. This is part of your exam grade.

Reminder Spring Band Camp

WHS Band Parents Students,

Don’t forget all Marching Band and Color Guard Students will have Spring Band Camp this week April 20-24, 2015 from 4:15-6:15.

On Friday, April 24, 2015 the students will provide a sneak peek of the 2015 marching show. At 6:30 pm there will be a mandatory booster club/parent meeting followed by a hot dog supper. The booster club will provide the hot dogs and the buns. We are asking each family to donate a side dish.

We have many important items to discuss and we will be voting in the 2015/2016 Booster Board of Directors.

We look forward to seeing everyone at the meeting!!!

Color Guard/Percussion Tryouts!!!!

Calling All Students,

If you love music, like meeting new people and like to have fun, we need you!!!!!

The Woodmont High School Marching Band will be holding tryouts for Color Guard and Percussion for the upcoming marching season April 13-17, 2015 from 4-6pm in the Woodmont High School Band Room.

Tryouts are open to any student in grades 7-12 from Ralph Chandler, Woodmont Middle and Woodmont High.

No experience is required!!!

Please wear athletic clothing, bring a water bottle and bring a few of your friends!!!! We look forward to seeing you at tryouts!!!
